The term multifamily refers to more than 5 residential properties for investment purposes. Usually is the entry level to professional commercial real estate investment, where one invests in order to collect rent. Similar to retail, Multifamily has its own groups; Garden Apartments, Midrise Apartments, and High-rise Apartments.
